SYNOPSIS:
The laughter and hysterics caused by this five women cast of nuns promises to not only have our audiences rolling in the aisles, but also running to confession! Fifty-two nuns of a small convent have died suddenly from food poisoning after having eaten soup tainted with botulism. Five nuns were spared including the Mother Superior but sadly, there is not enough money in the convent coffers to pay for the burial of all the deceased. The five nuns decide to stage a talent show to raise more funds to bury the remaining nuns who have now been temporarily stored in a freezer! NUNSENSE is truly inspired madness and you don?t even have to be Catholic to enjoy this hysterical romp! Solidifying itself as one of Broadway?s most irreverent and uproarious musical romps, NUNSENSE will have theatregoers of all religions and denominations crossing themselves with laughter! Missing this show would be a sin!
Those auditioning should dress comfortably for a dance audition and have 16-32 bars of a song prepared. The selection should demonstrate the dynamics of your vocal range to the audition panel. The Director does not mind if you perform vocal selections from the show. Please bring sheet music in your key. CD or taped accompaniment is strongly discouraged for these auditions. Please bring a current headshot and resume with you to the audition. You may also be asked to perform cold readings from the script.
