The Looking Glass Theatre is seeking Fall 2006 Acting Interns.
Interns will be cast in our Winter 2006 Looking Glass Forum, a festival of new works by upcoming female playwrights and directors, to be held in December. Interns will also receive free monologue coaching, as well as acting classes each week.
The time commitment is from September 18 through December 18, 2006. Interns will be required to work in our offices for two 4-hour sessions per week. Acting class will be held Monday evenings from 6-10pm.
Prepare contrasting monologues, no longer than two minutes combined. Bring pix & resumes.
NOTE: ALL TALENT UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES

Interns will do office work including script reading, finding and clipping articles from pertinent publications, event planning, mailing list maintenance, filing, weekly cleanup, accounting assistance, grant research, correspondence, fundraising activities, marketing, restocking and continued organization of: props, costumes, fabric, lumber, and even set and costume construction if necessary. In other words--everything! Office work is done in a pleasant and laid back environment where you will make connections and friends.
