Art of Hair Salon is looking for hair models that are interested in modeling for the following: future photo shoots, color classes, as well as cutting technique classes. Compensation for such events are not monetary, you will receive a service provided (color, cut) Photo shoots - you receive your professional/airbrushed pictures on a CD for your personal use (portfolio). We also may use your picture in our ads for the ny times, our website, or any hair magazines that we submit to. The early Saturday edition of Egypt's pro-government daily al-Gomhuria reported in a front page article that the ailing Mahfouz was suffering from pneumonia
Mahfouz's health became a concern after Islamic extremists stabbed him in 1994 after believing that some of his work was blasphemous
Born in 1911, Mahfouz has long been regarded as the master writer of his generation among Arabs â€â€? both intellectuals and the man on the street
The author of 34 novels, Mahfouz became target of Muslim extremists, who claimed his allegorical novel "Children of Gebelawi" violated Islam's ban on depicting the Prophet Muhammad and other holy figures
Hospital officials and doctors confirmed Mahfouz was in intensive care, but said they had been requested by his family to provide no further details
