Description: Set against the lush backdrop of Bangkok in the mid-1800s, The King and I is one of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most enchanting love stories. Cultures clash when Anna, a young English widow, is hired by the willful king of Siam to tutor his many children in Western ways. The show’s memorable songs include I Whistle a Happy Tune, Getting to Know You, Shall We Dance, Hello Young Lovers, Something Wonderful and more.

Strassberg was suggesting that, if guilty, Bacanovic would have made a cooperation deal with the government, just as Bacanovic's former assistant, Douglas Faneuil, did But Faneuil claimed in June 2002 that he had lied in that account and struck a cooperation deal with the government
"You can't prove a case like this based solely on the worst of a person like this, a person with an incredible motive to lie," Strassberg said
Jurors are expected to begin deciding the case Wednesday
Stewart and Bacanovic gave investigators different times for when they decided they would sell her ImClone shares when the price fell to $60
Bacanovic faces charges that carry 25 years, but sentencing guidelines could mean a much shorter sentence if he is convicted on all counts
In a three-hour closing argument Monday, a prosecutor said Stewart and Bacanovic were bent on keeping investigators from the truth about why the homemaking icon sold stock
"And so his life is on the line here, ladies and gentlemen, before you District Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum dismissed a count of securities fraud that accused Stewart of misleading investors in her own media company when she claimed publicly that she sold ImClone because of the $60 deal
"But Martha Stewart and Peter Bacanovic were wrong," Schachter said
Bacanovic would be "sitting on the government side" if he were guilty, lawyer Richard Strassberg said, because the government's real target has been Stewart all along
Faneuil, a former Merrill Lynch & Co assistant, claims Bacanovic ordered him to tell Stewart that ImClone CEO Sam Waksal was selling his ImClone shares â€â€? then took an order from the homemaking maven to sell hers

"Nobody could have done what Peter Bacanovic and Martha Stewart are alleged to have done and done it in a dumber fashion," he said
But Strassberg attacked Faneuil's credibility for more than two hours Monday, even alluding to the Academy Awards and suggesting he was acting on the witness stand
Strassberg has suggested to jurors that Faneuil, starstruck by Stewart and eager to impress her, decided on his own to tip her about Waksal â€â€? and never told the full truth
Prosecutor Michael Schachter said the pair never believed they would be caught "They left behind a trail of evidence exposing the truth about Martha Stewart's sale and exposing the lies they would tell
"He's here because he's not a liar," Strassberg said as he continued his closing argument
Schachter also listed inconsistencies â€â€? mistakes, he called them â€â€? in the stories Stewart and Bacanovic told federal investigators looking into the ImClone trade in early 2002
Stewart placed the conversation in October or November 2001, Bacanovic in late December
The counts against Stewart carry up to 20 years in prison, although federal sentencing guidelines could result in a sentence of just a year or so "

The government has wrongly accused Martha Stewart of participating in a laughable "confederacy of dunces," her lawyer said Tuesday in closing arguments at her federal trial
Lawyer Robert Morvillo tried to turn to his advantage a key part of prosecutors' case â€â€? that Stewart and broker Peter Bacanovic told inconsistent stories about a supposed plan to sell her ImClone Systems shares
