The 2006 Gay Games VII is coming to Chicago and we want all levels of dancers to participate in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies!! Perform with world-renowned Artists and National Choreographers such as Joel Hall, Kevin Iega Jeff, Michele Lynch and Michael Schwandt.
The Dance Open Call will take place, SATURDAY JUNE 10th at:
The Neo-Futurarium Theater
The Opening Ceremony will take place on Saturday July 15th, 2006 at Soldier Field and the Closing Ceremony on Saturday, July 22nd, 2006 at Wrigley Field. Rehearsals are scheduled Wednesday thru Friday before July 15th and July 22nd. With a mandatory practice Friday, July 14th and July 21st.
This is a volunteer gig. All dancers are donating their time and skills to the Ceremonies. The Gay Games will costume and feed you on rehearsal and performance days. Performers will be responsible for their own transportation and lodging in Chicago for the period.
NOTE: ALL TALENT UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES

For much of his life, Ziggy Marley has carried the burden of being Bob Marley's son, but the Rastafarian singer's first solo album strays far from the reggae beat his father immortalized
He followed that path on "Dragonfly" and says he is not bothered by the indifferent reaction among roots-reggae fans to the CD S
"Dragonfly," an 11-track set released April 15 by RCA Records subsidiary Private Music, is all about rock 'n' roll, featuring Flea, guitarist John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and guitarist Michael Einziger and DJ Chris Kilmore of Incubus
Their 1999 album, "Spirit of Music," was their swan song for the company and the Melody Makers disbanded to pursue different career paths
The Melody Makers won Best Reggae Album at the Grammy Awards three times, but their albums on the Elektra Records label did not spawn commercial successes
Marley, 34, describes the transition from reggae as evidence of his growth as a musician and not a cheap attempt to cash in on the hard rock market in the United States
"As an artist I have to lead and move forward â€â€? I dictate what the music is, not public opinion," Marley said from the record label's offices in Los Angeles on Wednesday
Ziggy wrote most of the songs on "Spirit of Music," which had a rock sound and was produced by Don Was, who has worked with The Rolling Stones and Bonnie Raitt
