A retired stuntman who claimed actor Robert Blake once asked him about having his wife "snuffed" conceded Monday he told police he didn't know who might have killed the actor's wife Blake's handyman-bodyguard, Earle Caldwell, is charged with conspiracy The actor has pleaded innocent to charges of murder, soliciting murder and conspiracy
Hambleton said that was correct He also implied that he felt threatened when Blake brought up Hambleton's children and grandchildren in conversation
Police asked Hambleton if he had any idea who might have killed Bonny Lee Bakley
His testimony Monday came on the fourth day of Blake's preliminary hearing, which will determine whether the 69-year-old former star of TV's "Baretta" will stand trial for murder referred to taped interviews Ronald "Duffy" Hambleton gave to police in May 2001, the same month Blake's wife was slain outside a Los Angeles-area restaurant
Authorities say Blake tried to solicit others to kill Bakley, 44, but gave up and shot her himself
