We are looking for three actors for the world premier of (Just Like) Starting Over, to be produced by Seattle Public Theater at the historic Bathhouse on Greenlake. (Just Like) Starting Over is an important new stage play about the last day in the life of John Lennon. It is a dramatic re-enactment based largely upon an unpublished interview with John and Yoko, granted hours before John was tragically killed. This dialogue driven story has three characters – John, Yoko and the interviewer. While it isn’t a musical, some of John’s circa 1980 music will be incorporated in support of the spoken words.
(Just Like) Starting Over will run September 7 – 17th with eight performances. Rehearsals will begin the first week in August. The ideal director will have experience with dialogue oriented plays and have a passion for the subject matter. The play's unique form is comparable to works such as The Exonerated, My Dinner with Andre, The Vagina Monologues, Swimming to Cambodia, Time Flies When You're Alive.
Note: This is a self-response notification. If you fit the role criteria and are interested in this project, please see the submission info below the role description.

But despite its fragmented structure and hyperactive style, "Persona Non Grata" has illuminating moments, mostly thanks to its interview subjects when the film sits still long enough to absorb what they have to say Stone and his film crew roamed the streets of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Ramallah as violence escalated

In March 2002, Stone traveled to the troubled Mideast and sought interviews with leaders on both sides of the conflict, also including ski-masked Palestinian "freedom fighters" and a spokesman for the Islamic militant group Hamas Does he mean to probe the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Or indulge himself in gritty grandstanding?
Either way, Stone shares "starring" credit with former Israeli Prime Ministers Shimon Peres, Ehud Barak and Benjamin Netanyahu (all of whom he interviews) and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat (who gives him the run-around) Cases include that of a man accused of the attempted murder of his wife and the murder of her brother, and another man who is accused of molesting four of his stepchildren On the two-hour premiere, the canvassing begins with auditions in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Chattanooga
