Actors are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song and may be asked to sing from the show. Actual musicals generally provide the best material. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided. Actors may be asked to read from the script.
Non-musicals
Actors will be asked to read from the script.
Based on the true story of Annie Oakley, who was well known in backwoods Ohio for her remarkable rifle marksmanship, this rip-roarin' musical comedy is a double-barreled blast of rivalry and romance. Annie joins Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and falls head over heels for dashing shooting star, Frank Butler. She soon discovers "You Can't Get A Man With A Gun," when her sure-shot aim takes down Frank's ego and her chance at love, but with the help of friend and confidant, Chief Sitting Bull, Annie wins her man's heart. The score, generally considered Berlin's best, includes such gems as "I Got The Sun In The Morning", "Anything You Can Do", and the entertainment anthem "There's No Business Like Show Business".
NOTE: ALL TALENT UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES
