Synopsis of the Play
A lonely British shoe salesman, Harry Witherspoon, suddenly inherits 6 million dollars from an uncle he never knew he had as long as he follows the instructions in his uncle’s will. As his last wish, Harry’s uncle Tony has requested that he wants to go the Monte Carlo. If Harry agrees, he inherits the $6 million; if he doesn’t, the $6 million goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn. What follows is a laugh-filled romp across Europe with Harry and the corpse of his dead uncle pursued by a variety of characters including Rita - Tony’s mistress, Rita’s brother Vinnie - an optometrist, Luigi - a strange character who acts as Harry’s guide and body guard, and Annabel - the representative from the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn who goes along to make sure the instructions in Tony’s will are followed.
Auditions will include a song of choice (your own background CD is preferable but not required), cold readings from the script, movement and dance, and improvisations
