PROFESSOR ART, male, 20-40, bilingual (Spanish & English), singer/actor who moves well for a live performer role in our upcoming North American/Latin American tour of "Elmo's Coloring Book". Professor Art is a "Willy Wonka" type creative genius; an artist/inventor who is full of brilliant ideas, but is a bit befuddled by everyday life. He's fun-loving, slightly quirky and basically a kid at heart. He has a Bohemian look, wearing an ascot and a dashing hat with a "Harpo Marx" type overcoat from which he pulls all kinds of props. Prepare two vocal selections, 16 bars each: ballad and uptempo (a cappella or instrumental CD). Also prepare a one-minute monologue, appropriate for family/children's theatre.
